Cancellation Policy.
t Bloom Pediatrics, we value your time and our therapists’ commitment to supporting your child. To keep schedules running smoothly and ensure families have consistent access to care, we ask that you review and follow our cancellation guidelines below.
Courtesy Cancellations
Each family is allotted three courtesy cancellations per quarter (January–March, April–June, July–September, October–December). These may be used individually or combined to cover family vacations, cultural or religious observances, or travel.
After three courtesy cancellations, additional missed sessions may be rescheduled as long as we receive notice at least 24 hours in advance.
Late Cancellations (Non-Illness)
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be considered late and will be billed as a regular session. Late cancellations cannot be made up unless due to illness (see below).
Illness-Related Cancellations
Bloom Pediatrics is a well-child center. Children showing two or more symptoms of illness or a fever of 100.4°F or higher should remain home.
If you must cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice due to illness, you will be charged for the session, but we will work with you to schedule a make-up.
If your child arrives ill, shows symptoms of a contagious condition (see our illness policy), or becomes sick during their session, you will be asked to take them home.
If your child participates for 15 minutes or less, we will allow a make-up session once your child is well.
If symptoms begin after 15 minutes, the session will be billed in full and cannot be made up.
No Call / No Show
Missed sessions without prior notice are billed at the full session rate and cannot be rescheduled.
Extended Illness or Special Circumstances
We understand that unexpected life events and extended illnesses happen. Please reach out to our office to discuss your situation—we are committed to supporting your child’s care and will work with you to find solutions.
Return to Therapy After Illness or Injury
If your child experiences a new illness or injury that impacts their ability to safely participate in therapy, we will require clearance from their physician before resuming sessions. Please contact our office to discuss next steps.
