Prior to moving to Los Angeles, Margaret (Meg) Shafir had been working as a pediatric occupational therapist in New York City for the last year and a half. Meg specializes in reflex integration with ongoing training in the world renowned Masgutova Method. Prior to getting her master’s degree at Hofstra University, she worked as a preschool teacher at the Dwight School in Manhattan. Meg has always enjoyed working with children, and values finding a unique approach to allow each child to thrive utilizing his or her individual gifts. Meg attended Skidmore College for her undergraduate degree where she majored in Spanish Literature and Dance. She additionally taught at the Rassias Language intensive through Dartmouth college for several years. Meg’s passion for dance and linguistics have helped inform and enhance her practice as an occupational therapist. In her free time Meg enjoys dance classes, cooking, and spending time with family, friends and her basset hound.
