Calm & happy kids: Yoga, mindfulness, and meditation group
This 6-week group introduces yoga, mindfulness, and meditation to help your child learn how to better absorb information and pay attention to the present moment. Kids will gain a deeper understanding of their mind-body connection.
Groups begin with breathing techniques to help calm young minds, then continue with warm-ups, and stretch the body with variety of yoga poses. Followed by guided meditation, visualization, and some mindful games too! Children will relax and develop more balanced energy. They will cultivate their self-awareness, foster self-esteem, and develop compassion for self and others. Children will be able to apply the techniques at home, school, and everywhere.
Kindergarten - 5th graders
September 11 - October 9, 2019
What to wear/bring:
Comfortable, loose fitting yoga clothes, and sweat jacket or small blanket. Water bottle.
About the instructor:
Many studies show that yoga and meditation benefit not only adults but creates tremendous benefits for children. Learning to be in the moment can start at a young age. The practice can help children cope with stress, have better sleep, improve focus, and find their “Inner Peace”.
